You choose which capabilities Oops may use. Installation adds a Home Screen app experience; it does not grant permission to use sensors, accounts or private files. Review each explanation in Install & permissions before pressing its control.
Location
The setup check requests one reading, discards it and sends no coordinates to CrownThrive, Google, AI or advertisers. Later nearby searches and area lookup can send the coordinates described on the Privacy page after you choose those actions. Timed location sharing is separate, lasts at most 60 minutes and requires the page to remain active. Installation does not create background location access. Revoke the sharing link in Oops as well as changing your device permission; stopping a sensor does not erase the last shared point.
Microphone and voice
The setup check briefly opens the microphone and immediately stops every audio track. It does not record or upload audio. The separate voice-control feature uses your browser’s speech recognition service, which may process audio on its provider’s servers. Microphone permission does not guarantee speech recognition availability. There is no always-listening voice mode.
Notifications
The permission control requests a local test notification through the installed service worker. Device Focus, battery settings or browser policy may prevent it from appearing. This release does not create a remote push subscription, scheduled reminder or contact alert. On supported iPhone and iPad versions, install and open the Home Screen app before requesting notifications.
Files, photos and Bluetooth
The wallet reads only a file you explicitly select. The phone’s file picker may offer a camera; Oops does not request your entire camera roll or document library. Bluetooth requires choosing a supported device in Apps & devices. A device selection or provider link is not proof of an active connection. Each provider account has separate authorization, scopes and availability.
Persistent storage and offline use
Persistent storage is a browser decision that can reduce automatic eviction. It is not a backup, cloud synchronization or protection against your own deletion of site data. Only the public rescue fallback and icons are cached for offline access. An offline rescue card uses information you separately chose to remember in this browser. Account, map and provider operations require internet, and calls require phone service.
Updates, revocation and removal
The app checks for updated public files. When an update is ready, save your work before choosing Apply update & reload. You can revoke permissions through browser site settings or device app settings and refresh the status shown in Oops. Denial affects only the features that need that access. Uninstalling or clearing data does not cancel Pro; cancel through Membership → Manage billing.
